Ideal for soffit applications and engineered to create a thin structural ceiling, Kingspan Kooltherm K110 has a remarkable thermal conductivity of 0.019 W/mK, offering optimal performance without unnecessary bulk.  

Kooltherm K110 boasts a fibre-free rigid thermoset phenolic core, coupled with a glass tissue-based front facing and a low emissivity composite foil on the reverse side. Quick and easy to install, this insulation board is perfect for both new builds and refurbishment projects. It offers incredible durability and water vapour resistance, and is unaffected by air infiltration.

    Kooltherm K110 is primarily used for insulating soffits. Offering premium thermal performance with a slim profile, Kingspan Kooltherm K110 is perfect for spaces with restricted depth. 

    To install Kooltherm K110 insulation board, secure it to the soffit using a minimum of 11 mechanical fixings with a head diameter of at least 35mm, and make sure they penetrate at least 40mm into a solid substrate. 

    Distribute the fixings evenly across the board and place edge fixings between 50mm and 150mm from the edges and corners without overlapping board joints. For faster installation, consider using a shot fired fixing method. This will depend on the type of fixings used.  

    The glass tissue-based front facings on Kooltherm K110 insulation boards provide enhanced durability and protection. It works as a barrier against damage during installation and handling, improves moisture and fire resistance, and maintains the integrity of the insulation layer for long-term performance. 

    Yes, Kingspan Kooltherm K110 should be installed on a solid substrate that is able to accommodate a minimum 40mm penetration of the mechanical fixings. This will ensure a secure attachment.
